It was a long flight - but we are here safe and sound in Beijing!
Gia did great on the flight! We each had a movie monitor in front of us, and we had 5 different movies to choose from. Gia watched Madagascar 5 times. She was in heaven. Our flight pattern went straight north from Chicago, so we went right over the north pole! Gia was looking out the window for Santa's workshop. No Santa sighting, just ice and snow.
We checked into our hotel, and then walked about 3 blocks to a grocery store for water. We have all been up for over 24 hrs, so we are going to try to get some sleep.
Only 2 more nights until we get Jeannie. We can't believe it that we are here - and that our dream is about to come true!
